If you are looking for a crowded party drink then the jungle juice recipe is the best option. This cocktail tastes great and sweet no matter how mysterious it sounds in your ears, which is why it’s low-key dangerous if you don’t keep track of how much you drink.
This tasty drink is commonly served as the main drink at frat parties and clubs, and many people enjoy it because it’s inexpensive and sweet kind of taste. As we all know about sweets, it’s complicated knowing exactly what you’re drinking and the impacts of what you are taking inside you.
If you’re native, you’re probably still wondering what jungle juice is. Hopefully, I will be able to throw more light on the murky but delectable cocktail juice. Before we delve deeper, note that this is entirely my opinion and I do not intend to encourage or scare you.
What Is Jungle Juice?
Jungle juice is one of the popular cocktails, can be made in a variety of ways. In the short term, it’s viewed as a mix of various alcohols (vodka – 40% ABV, Everclear – 90% ABV, tequila – 38 percent ABV, whiskey – 40% ABV, flavored schnapps – 20% ABV, gin – 40% ABV, and/or rum – 37 percent ABV) and sugary drinks (juice or Kool-Aid) that work together to balance out the equation.
Take note of how I listed almost every hard alcohol in this article. It’s dangerous enough to mix alcohol of one red solo cup at a time, but this is a whole new level. This drink can contain more than 10% alcohol by volume (ABV), and to put that in perspective, beer has an ABV of around 4.5 percent and wine has an ABV of around 10-12 percent.
This drink brings out the wilderness in the person drinking at that point, putting them in a “state of animal behavior” (Hence the name). Hope you now understand why it’s called Jungle Juice?
Whatever type of jungle juice recipe you make, keep the proof of the liquors in mind so that the drink doesn’t become overly alcoholic. Generally don’t mix more than three types of liquor and keep in mind the total percentage of alcohol when mixing multiple liquors. You might want to use less of each and more of the mixer.
Choose less expensive brands like Everclear or Smirnoff for a budget-friendly punch, and finish with a splash of whatever else you have on your hands, such as tequila or rum. Drink powder mixes come in a variety of flavors and is one of the most affordable mixer options. Pick up fruit juices like grape, apple, or pineapple when they’re on sale for a drink that hides the alcohol a little better.
All drink mix, fruit juice, or a combination of the two can be used in the jungle juice drink. To top it off, slice and toss a whole watermelon or pineapple into the punch. Keep in mind that if you’re serving from an open container rather than a drink dispenser, this is only a viable option.

Is Jungle Juice Safe To Drink?
This has to be tough depends on the situation. Are you in a secure location? Are you the one who ordered the drink? Do you normally keep track of how much you drink when you step out? These are the kinds of questions you should be asking yourself whenever you drink, most especially when you’re drinking jungle juice.
You will be extremely intoxicated whether you are “Lightweight” or “heavyweight” if you consume this much alcohol in such a short period of time. This drink is said to be a one-way ticket to a bad morning. I’m afraid of any drink containing Everclear because I’d never heard of it before college and it’s 95 percent alcohol, which is higher than rubbing alcohol.
That just goes to show how potent the jungle juice recipes can be, especially when mixed with other alcoholic beverages. Also, because the drink is served mixed, you never know how much you’re drinking, if it’s spiked, drugged, or otherwise, so I try to avoid the coolers. Assess the location and the people in it to determine the level of trustworthiness.
If you want to go into the jungle by drinking this drink, remember to be cautious.
It’s important not to overdo it or take an overdose and end up on the floor. Personally, I had advised that you travel with a sober companion or keep track of how many drinks you’ve had so that you can learn to say it’s okay.
Now that I’ve answered the big “what is jungle juice” question, keep in mind that the juice tastes great on the way down, but it’s a different story on the way up. Remember to drink responsibly and take precautionary measures to avoid embarrassment or even severe consequences.
So now that we have fished out the safety precautions of this drink, can we learn to prepare a safe one?
How to Serve This Drink
The surest strategy to make and serve the jungle juice recipe is determined by the environment, including the number of people present and the physical conditions. Plastic cups and drink dispensers, for instance, are ideal for young children and college-aged crowds. This reduces the risk of broken glass and saves money in the event of an accident.
Adults having a party are more likely to be trusted with a glass or crystal punch bowl, pitcher, and barware because they can probably handle their alcohol better. Acrylic, on the other hand, is sometimes easier to clean with the help of a dishwasher, and it is less likely to break.
A festive slant on barware and serving ware can also benefit themed parties. More ornate punch bowls and crystal or crystal-look plastic glasses elevate holiday parties. Acrylic pitchers with decorative fish, beach scenes, or mermaids will make your summer pool or beach days even more enjoyable.
When calculating how much of each ingredient to add to your jungle juice cocktail, a general rule of thumb is 1 gallon of juice per 10 people. Most punch glasses or plastic cups hold between 4 and 5 ounces, so one gallon makes roughly 30 5-ounce servings.
Each guest should drink two cups in the first hour and one cup every hour after that. Plan to buy enough drink supplies to make three to four punch bowls, or about 90 to 120 servings, for a three-hour party of 25 people.
